We believe that suicide prevention programmes for young people should be developed with their active participation, especially those who have experienced suicide in their personal lives. Over the past year, we have spoken to over 50 young people from diverse backgrounds to understand their experiences and ideas on youth suicide prevention. Based on their thoughts and feedback we are co-developing three suicide prevention activities:
Outlive is jointly implemented by three partner organisations – Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy, Sangath, and Quicksand Design Studio – and is supported by Comic Relief, UK.
Our wider project team includes a nationally representative Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG), that works with us to steer the project objectives and activities, evaluation and public engagement.
